Defining Residential Care

Residential Care provides residents with support with everyday tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, administering medication and mobility. As the name suggests, Residential Care means that residents can treat our home as their own and live there with access to the number of services and facilities available on site. Residential Care usually refers to long-term care given to adults who live in a residential setting rather than in their own home or family home, supporting those struggling with daily life activities and providing the help and caring environment that they need.

Residential Care at The Fleet Care Home

Our Home Manager and Deputy Manager are supported by a dedicated team of Registered General Nurses, Senior Carers and Health Care Assistants, each of whom have a particular interest in care of the elderly. Residential Care is delivered to residents on the ground floor of our purpose built care home, where residents receive the finest possible care at all times, day and night. Our person-centered approach to care means we look after our residents as a whole, offering an opportunity to give residents their independence back, in a safe and supportive environment.

The Fleet offers a seamless range of care, so if needs alter, there’s no need to relocate to a different place of care.

At The Fleet Care Home, we’re here to support you day and night, taking care of both your medical needs and personal wellbeing. We also handle housekeeping, meals, and an activities schedule, and we have our own facilities like a library, expansive gardens, hairdressing salon, and more.
