Residential Care in Dartmouth

Residential Care

Whether you’re looking to come to The Fleet Care Home because you no longer want the stress of running your own home or you require care and additional support throughout the day, our team is trained to ensure each resident is given as much, or as little support as they need.

Our individualised care plans are designed to match each resident’s unique needs and we strive to provide not only around-the-clock medical care but also well-being support, allowing residents to live a full and happy life every day.

Defining Residential Care

Residential Care provides residents with support with everyday tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, administering medication and mobility. As the name suggests, Residential Care means that residents can treat our home as their own and live there with access to the number of services and facilities available on site.

Residential Care usually refers to long-term care given to adults who live in a residential setting rather than in their own home or family home, supporting those struggling with daily life activities and providing the help and caring environment that they need.

Residential Care is delivered to residents on the ground floor of our purpose-built care home, where residents receive the finest possible care at all times, day and night.

Our person-centered approach to care means we look after our residents as a whole, offering an opportunity to give residents their independence back, in a safe and supportive environment.

Residential Care FAQs

Residential care is a suitable choice for individuals who require permanent accommodation and would benefit from 24/7 support for personal care and certain medical needs. It’s also advantageous for those who thrive in a communal living environment. On the other hand, nursing care offers the same around-the-clock support, but with the added advantage of registered nurses who can administer medication and medical treatment at any time of day or night.

Our team of caregivers consistently monitors and evaluates resident care plans. If care requirements change during your time at The Fleet Care Home, we’ll collaborate with residents and their families to modify care plans as needed and ensuring residents needs are always met. The Fleet offers a seamless range of care, so if needs alter, there’s no need to relocate to a different place of care.

At The Fleet Care Home, we’re here to support you day and night, taking care of both your medical needs and personal wellbeing. We also handle housekeeping, meals, and an activities schedule, and we have our own facilities like a library, expansive gardens, hairdressing salon, and more.
