Meet Our Home Manager, Damon

We are thrilled to welcome the new year in with a new Home Manager here at The Fleet.

Meet Damon. Damon started his working career in sales/account management working in different sectors, such as logistics, domestic appliances and IT.

"I got to a point in my career where I felt I needed to give back to my community, so I began working for the NHS, supporting people with learning disabilities for almost 6 years, finishing in the role of Support Manager, where I oversaw a team of managers working in over 10 different services."

Damon started working in care homes in 2014, which is when he first became a Registered Manager and has worked for groups such as Bupa, Gracewell Healthcare and Brighterkind.

This came as a direct result of seeing how he is own grandmother was not treated with dignity and respect whilst in hospital. Damon has a strong history of turning homes around, engaging staff teams, initiating change and ensuring residents live a meaningful life.

Damon believes in building open and honest relationships with residents, relatives and anyone who visits the home. His door is always open and welcomes anyone to pop in for a chat or a cup of tea.

We look forward to seeing what positive changes Damon implements throughout our home by getting to know our residents to the best of his ability.
