Live Entertainment In The Garden

An entertainer sings in the garden for residents

We have been blessed with some incredible weather over the last few months and today the sun was out again to welcome back to The Fleet our friend, Patrick Jervis. We thought what better way to enjoy the sunshine than by taking the entertainment outside.

Patrick was taking requests from Judy Garland's 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' to Nat King Cole's 'When I Fall in Love'. Patrick is always so versatile and can adapt to make an afternoon of music so much more person-centred for our residents.

Our activities team brought out the percussion instruments meaning everyone could tap along and make it a more interactive experience. The afternoon has given the activities team idea's for Christmas already with just how musical our ladies and gents are.

Our care staff were on hand as always to support and cheer on all the ladies and gents who were singing along and getting so much out of today's musical experience.

Music brings a plethora of positive emotions and enables residents to associate a song with a time in their lives and reminisce about their younger days, so it's important to us that we schedule live music in our activities programme on a regular basis. We can't wait to welcome our next visitor!

To find out more about what we get up to at The Fleet, or to book a home visit, do not hesitate to contact our friendly team today.
