Donating to Dartmouth Community Chest
Over the previous few weeks, the team at The Fleet Care Home have been collecting nonperishable goods to donate to a local charity. We had Dawn from Dartmouth Community Chest come to collect the two boxes of products we had collected. We hope these will make a small difference to the families in our community who need it, and we enjoy giving back to the local community as much as possible.
Dartmouth Community Chest is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers that helps and supports the most vulnerable individuals and families in the Dartmouth community, delivering daily meals, food parcels as well as providing advice and support with fuel poverty.
Christmas is supposed to be one of the most special times of the year for many families, but it can be very difficult time for some, therefore we have plans to also join in with the community to make Christmas care packages filled with the little extras to make peoples Christmas a little bit nicer.
We will be starting to collect for these from mid-November, and family and friends are welcome to donate if they would like to contribute. We appreciate all contributions no matter how small so please get in touch if you would like more information on this upcoming project.
