Celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee

Care Home Residents Celebrate the Queen's Jubilee

The Fleet had a ball celebrating the Queen's 70 year reign by throwing a patriotic themed garden party. Everyone was in high spirits and it was great to see the sun shining for us. Everyone came to join in on the fun including friends and family of residents.

Celebratory drinks were prepared by one of our staff ready for residents to enjoy a glass of bubbly. The glasses were decorated with white and red sugar crystals for that special touch.

The team was dressed up in their finest attire, ready to serve a delicious platter of food ranging from sausage rolls, sandwiches, quiches, cupcakes, and of course Victoria sponge cake - the perfect picnic themed spread.

Inflatable picture frames were passed around the residents and staff to take memorable photos inside of. Residents were also dressed in their Sunday best and wore British flag themed hats.

One of the staff members pet dog paid a visit to the home who thoroughly enjoyed the lively ambience and the attention he received by everyone.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon in the garden socialising, eating delicious food, listening to music and playing games. It was safe to say that fun was had by all. We look forward to hosting more outdoor events in the near future.
