Breast Cancer Awareness Day

The Fleet Care Home Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer Month

On Tuesday the 22nd of October our residents, visitors and the team at The Fleet Care Home organised an Afternoon Tea in the Cove Bistro to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The staff and residents were encouraged to wear something pink for the event ready to participate in a day full of fun activities. The residents enjoyed a gorgeous Afternoon Tea with fantastic pink-themed cup cakes, a raffle with lots of prizes up for grabs, and an abundance of fun quizzes.

The day was a huge success and was enjoyed by all of the residents and devoted staff team members at The Fleet Care Home, and managed to raise a huge £151.00 for such an amazing cause.

At The Fleet Care Home, we pull out all the stops to ensure we raise awareness for any causes that are necessary to us. By doing so, our dedicated Activities Coordinators make sure to plan a variety of different activities and arts and crafts for all our residents and their loved ones to get involved in.

The wide range of facilities in our care home allows us to provide our residents with such a variety of things to do. Whether it is throwing garden parties in our expansive gardens, or making use of the wonderful local area of Dartmouth; we can be sure that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Our staff members at The Fleet Care Home have seen the first-hand benefits that our activities programme has on our resident's lifestyles. This is why we actively encourage our residents to try something new or to maintain current hobbies that take their interest.

If you are looking to accommodate yourself or a loved one in our care home and would like to find out more information about the care options we have to offer, then please do get in touch and a friendly member of our team will be more than happy to help.
