A Valentine’s Celebration Full of Love

On Valentine's Day at The Fleet Care Home, we welcomed in the loved ones of our residents for a fizz and nibbles afternoon. Our residents spent the morning putting a variety of flowers in their bedrooms for the occasion and writing cards to the ones closest to them.

We like to jazz up our Cove Bistro with decorations on special occasions and have to say the Cove looked rather special for Valentine's. Our kitchen team made a whole variety of tasty treats for people to enjoy including chocolate strawberries, scones, cakes and bags of sweets.

It is important to us at The Fleet that everybody can express their love to the special people in their lives not only on Valentine's Day but every day of the year. We hold regular events as part of our varied activities programme where residents are invited to welcome their family and friends to enjoy the day with us.

Valentine's Day is also the perfect time for our team to reassure residents that we are there for them around the clock and that they are always appreciated. We understand that Valentine's can be a difficult time of year for some people, so our team go the extra mile to ensure the love is spread everywhere and everyone feels special.
