10-mile walk for Alzheimer’s Society

The Fleet Care Home's 0-mile walk for Alzheimer’s Society

On Sunday the 19th of September four of our dedicated team members at The Fleet Care Home walked a staggering 10 miles round Dartmouth taking in the castle, Little Dartmouth, back down to Warfleet, and back into town.

Accompanied by a four-legged canine friend, the team undertook this challenge to help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society in conjunction with the Memory Walk campaign which was celebrated up and down the country.

The team did a fantastic job raising funds for such a worthy cause and celebrated with a cheeky pitstop at the Floating Bridge Pub before crossing the finishing line.

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity that campaigns for change funds research to find a cure and support people living with Dementia.

Our staff at The Fleet Care Home go above and beyond for our residents to assure they receive the very best Dementia care and will do whatever it takes to raise awareness for Dementia.
